Happy, flirty, fun, outgoing, and oh so girly far too often.
It's not just red
Passionate, vibrant, lively, and overwhelming, near addiction.
Love is the colours of the rainbow
So mixed up you can't tell if you're yellow
Blue, red, or green or any other colour,
Any other emotion.
Love is ever changing and shifting
The aurora borealis of your heart.
Love is the colours of the sky
Changing from a grey that's just a little sad
To a wonderful dark blue one can drown in.
It can be raging and filled with desire
A scarlet ocean of lust.
It can be calm and filled with contentment
A lake of depth and serenity.

Intricately OrdinaryTears blurred the keyboard as she sat down. She went through the motions of opening a new document robotically. Unseeing eyes looked at a blank page of white as thoughts raced through her head. Hesitantly at first, she laid her fingers upon the keyboard, feeling for the two lines on 'F' and 'J'- if she looked down, the tears would fall upon her keyboard- and finally, she typed.

"I hope it's harder for him to move on now that he knows I have a name."

Seeing that in black and white, knowing it's true and at the same time, feeling like she wished it wasn't, something began to break in her. The tiny 'snap' went unnoticed, as floodgates began to

Very few wish to show it
Even in front of the person they love.

I've seen it,
Nudged away, tucked away, hidden.

Love lies in the heart, so the heart is hidden.
Outer appearances, though, reveal it.
Vaunted though love is, in poetry and art,
Every person fears it.

That to fit into society
They need to fit into this perfect little square box?
That they can't change, can't deviate,
Can't act in any way
Other than the way they're supposed to?

Trapped in this prison of their own making
Yet this box does not exist.
They've cut off, smoothed over, changed

Instead of a ball, pentagonal prism
Some mass-less, gelatinous form that can be anything

For acceptance
For forgiveness
That is why people choose to follow God.
Still others search for others to blame,
To cast their own sins upon another's conscious.
Or live, weighted down by guilt
By an accident they regret their part in.
And this self-deprecation, this anger
Affects those around them.
Cast out, alone, adrift.
Every person is this
Until the past has new light shed upon it
Until forgiveness, neither blame nor anger
Is what every person carries within.
Years though it may take

Idly, almost without thought,

and make it something different?
Something unique, just like so many others have done before me.
Maybe I can do that.
Maybe I can't.
But my trick,
it's not lyrical.
Not pretty or beautiful or wonderful.

It's simple.
Straightforward.
It's the telling of a tale only I understand
because I can't express it fully enough for others to.

Even I don't know the ending to
Yet.
