Literature Text

I lost myself when I couldn't see,
For the world was blurred for me.
I couldn't see past my fingertips
So I couldn't see you, just a hop, skip,
Jump away from me.

I lost myself when I was blind.
I couldn't see that you were mine.
Instead I tested and tested you
And couldn't see, you were testing me too,
To see if I was yours as you were mine.

I lost myself when I lost my glasses
A blurry world filled with the masses.
Shoving strangers, weird looks
Everything I had, it took.
My sight was first, then my legs
As I stumbled on, again and again.
I reached out with useless arms
Hoping not to come to harm.

I lost myself
When I lost my sight.

I'll find myself
When I see what's right.
When before my eyes I see
Your silhouette before me
Holding out your arms
To which I may return.
And discover that my sight had not gone
I was never blind.
I just couldn't see
Because you were not close to me.
=D I'm not certain about this one. It's an attempt at rhyming, which just doesn't come naturally to me sometimes.

I like ti! You're way better at rhyming then I am. I rhyme for maybe half the poem and then I give up. I really love this one :3
